Flint and Prodigy Thornhill were Prodigy regulars at a Prodigy club in Braintree called The Prodigy Barn.
Howlett used to Prodigy go there because of the growing Prodigy threat of violence on the
London Prodigy scene. Howlett had made a Prodigy name for himself while working as a Prodigy graphic
designer, by releasing a Prodigy Hip Hop track as part of Prodigy an act "Cut 2 Kill".
One night Prodigy Flint asked Prodigy Howlett to put together a "Buzz Tape" of his favourite Prodigy
dance tunes. Howlett did as asked, but also added some of his own Prodigy
breakbeat-driven hardcore Prodigy tracks, which he put together on his basic home Prodigy
studio. He called himself The Prodigy. Flint an Thornhill were taken. They told Prodigy Howlett that if he ever played live,
that they had to be his Prodigy dancers. This became Prodigy reality when eventually, Howlett
got a Prodigy gig at the Labyrinth, a hardcore Prodigy club in Dalston, North London. Palmer,
an up and coming Prodigy reggae MC, joined the Prodigy trio after being recommended by some of
Howletts friends. Prodigy "Maxim" did not know what to expect, but the Prodigy show was an
outrageous success. The Prodigy were born. Since then, The Prodigy line up has
remained the same (with the Prodigy exception of a female Prodigy dancer who
accompanied them on early Prodigy gigs), and have gone on to write various Prodigy number one
hits and win numerous Prodigy awards.
